What are the analytics limits on the free plan?
On the free plan, you can view detailed click statistics for your first 50,000 clicks. After that, Short.io continues collecting data but restricts your ability to see it. All your short links keep working normally regardless of the statistics limit. Upgrading to a paid plan removes this restriction entirely.
Can I use Short.io for free for commercial purposes?
Yes. Unlike many link shorteners, Short.io allows commercial use on the free plan. You can use it for marketing campaigns, business links, and customer-facing URLs at no cost. We recommend starting with the free plan to explore the features before upgrading.
Can I delete short links to stay within my plan’s limits?
Yes, you can delete short links at any time. Before deleting a link, make sure your ‘404 Redirect’ setting is configured so that anyone clicking an old link lands somewhere useful rather than a broken page.

Is it safe to pay with a credit card?
Yes. All card payments are processed by Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment provider. The transaction happens over a secure, encrypted connection between your browser and Stripe. Short.io never sees or stores your card details.
What happens when I upgrade, downgrade, or cancel my plan?
When you upgrade or downgrade, the new plan’s features and limits take effect immediately. All your existing short links continue to work without interruption. If you change plans mid-cycle, you’ll receive a prorated charge or credit for the remaining days.
If you cancel your subscription, your account automatically moves to the free plan and your links keep working within its limits.
Is there a free trial on paid plans?
Yes. Every paid plan includes a 7-day free trial. You can cancel at any point during the trial and your card will not be charged. No commitment required.
Are there any hidden fees or setup costs?
No. The price you see is what you pay. There are no setup fees, per-link charges, or surprise costs for managing your account. Custom domain connection is included in every plan.
Can I export my short links and data?
Yes, you can export all your short links at no extra charge. Simply contact Short.io support and we’ll prepare your data export. On the Large plan, raw click data can also be exported automatically to an Amazon S3 bucket.
